I’ve been busy in my spare time working on the first of Red Clover Games’ projects, so I think it’s time to announce what’s being worked on. My co-workers won’t stand for an empty blog anymore. Project Clover Planet is an experimental project built using Flash and Papervision3D. The general gameplay strategy involves moving around on larger than life “planets”, interacting with game objects, and possibly creatures to meet objectives. I will detail objectives and gameplay designs as they evolve, so sit tight enjoy the demo for the time being. The demo is more of a technical prototype than anything, but it’s something to see the concept of the world.
Over the course of the next few months, I’ll be posting Work In Progress (WIP) posts to indicate the current progress of the project. I may even post descriptive entries about game design elements like the plot, the characters, the objects, objectives and so forth. The game design is not complete… it’s certainly going to be iterative, especially with this first project as I learn to work with Flash and the different APIs.
